Job Details

Feel rewarded with your hard work, dedication and drive to make a difference in the lives of young people who have come from troubled backgrounds!

Due to rapid expansion, our highly-reputable client is seeking 3 x Clinical, Counselling, and/or Forensic Psychologists to join their team.

They proudly provide therapeutic intervention and care for looked-after children and adolescents (aged 10-18). The looked-after children and adolescents have multiple and complex needs which means you're guaranteed to never have a dull moment, keeping you on your toes. You'll be presented with challenging, volatile and aggressive behaviour which makes it oftentimes very difficult to engage. Therefore you'll gain valuable experience by trying different ways of building up trust over a period of time.

You'll be an integral member of a small, friendly and collaborative team of allied health professionals which ensures you're truly appreciated and supported.

The salary is competitive at Band 7 and 8a based on the level of your previous experience (both newly qualified and experienced Clinical, Counselling and/or Forensic Psychologists are welcome to apply). You'll enjoy a car allowance and an annual bonus (combined up to £2,000). Free parking at the main site will also be provided making it super-convenient for you.

This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, giving you stability in your career.

You'll need:

- a Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology (HCPC registered)

- a clean driver's licence, your own car and readiness to travel to numerous sites every day across Shropshire, North Wales and Mid-Wales

- proven experience with children and adolescents with challenging behaviour

- reslience, patience and a therapeutic approach

- an enhanced DBS check (we can assist you with this)

- 2 references
