Job Purpose

The post-holder will be involved in a project assessing the response to chemotherapy in adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients

 

Person Specification

  • Experience working in a clinical diagnostic laboratory
  • HCPC registered Healthcare Scientist
  • Practical experience of working with human blood products and white blood cell isolation/cryopreservation
  • Applying multi-parameter flow cytometry as a technique to study white blood cells
  • Work to Good Clinical Practice in the laboratory standards
  • Experience in performing validation and/or verification of a flow cytometry test and demonstrate good understanding of quality control in a flow cytometry laboratory
  • Ability to understand data analysis and to present data effectively
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers and healthcare scientists
