A unique opportunity has become available for a qualified veterinary nurse to work in a high level surgical research environment at the Translational Biomedical Research Centre. This centre opened in April 2016 and is now looking to expand its workflow and needs an enthusiastic new member to its highly committed team.

This successful candidate will, under Home Office legislation, be able to fully develop both surgical and anaesthesia skills to levels not possible in normal clinical practice. They will work as part of research teams using the facility to develop new drugs and surgical devices which will have radical implications for both human and animal health in the future. 

 

Applicants must be either hold a personal home office licence or be willing to undertake training to hold a personal licence. As well as undertake training to work in a Good Laboratory Practice(GLP) environment, as per the Medical Healthcare products Research Agency(MHRA) requirements.
