BOTANIC GARDENS (UWBG)

The UW’s School of Environmental and Forest Sciences seeks a leader with demonstrated skills to be the primary representative of UWBG and its academic mission, serving the UW and greater community; to develop new initiatives and innovation and champion ongoing successes; and have experience as either: a prominent scientist with an active research program and teaching experience OR demonstrated ability to manage botanic gardens, fund-raise, manage research programs and advance the organization’s mission. The successful candidate’s academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Administrative experience is required, in botanic gardens preferred. Appointment is Professor status, full-time, 9-month with two additional months of salary and 11 months of administrative supplement. Salary commensurate with experience.

UWBG is international renowned for horticulture, restoration ecology, urban forestry, sustainable urban systems, conservation and plant collections.
