We are looking for one applicant who is able to work 33.25 hours a week split between both roles.

OR

Two applicants to work split hours (16 hours and 17.25 hours) in the separate roles.

Please see both roles below advertised separately but as stated above, these can be worked together as one role for 33.25 hours per week.

1) You are invited to apply for the post of Faculty Administrative Assistant/Receptionist based at Southampton General Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional individual to represent the Faculty on the reception desk serving the Institute of Developmental Sciences and Southampton Cancer Research UK Centre based at Southampton General Hospital.  This is a busy and varied role that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The post holder will act as Receptionist/Administrator, which will include, greeting visitors, dealing with deliveries, post and email correspondence as well as resources for the unit. You will also provide administrative support to the Academic Units and help with the administrative workload of the Faculty.

You will have good IT skills, the ability to work independently and interface with internal and external personnel. A flexible approach to work is essential to meet business needs.  In addition you will possess experience in a similar role and have strong administrative skills and be expected to plan and prioritise your workload. 

The work-pattern will be as follows:

8.30am–12.15pm (Mon-Fri) 17.25 hours per week.

2) You are invited to apply for the post of BRF Faculty Administrative Assistant based at Southampton General Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional individual to support the Facility and Deputy Managers of the Biomedical Research Facility (BRF).  This is a varied role that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will act as

receptionist/administrator, which will include, greeting visitors and facility personnel appropriately, dealing with deliveries, post and email correspondence as well as providing administrative support and resources for the Facility.You will have good general office IT skills, the ability to work independently and interface with internal and external personnel. 

 

The work-pattern will be as follows:

16 hours per week.

A flexible approach to work is essential to meet business needs. Hours can be mutually convenient but ideally you will be in attendance on four/five days each week.
