    The Faculty of the Professions is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. It is comprised of the prestigious Adelaide Law School, the School of Architecture and Built Environment, the Adelaide Business School, the School of Economics, the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre, Institute for International Trade and the Centre for Global Food and Resources.     The Adelaide Business School is one of four schools in the Faculty of the Professions. With a reputation for first-class management education, the school specialises in accounting, finance, international business, management and marketing. The school offers a contemporary and intellectually stimulating working environment and is located at the University's prestigious North Terrace campus.

    The International Centre for Financial Services (ICFS) was established to foster excellence in, and improved understanding of, the Financial Services Industry by providing research, education and industry engagement.  This is provided by delivery of award and non-award programs and courses and contract research.

    The ICFS Director reports to the Dean of the Business School and will provide leadership to build and maintain the programs and research provided by the ICFS. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the development and implementation of the academic content and stakeholder engagement for the ICFS. This position will be responsible for a small team of administrative staff to deliver the operational management, program development and stakeholder engagement aspects relating to ICFS.  This position will also need to actively engage with industry to facilitate and source funding for research projects for the ICFS.

    Salary: Negotiable

    Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.

    Term of position: This is a 0.5FTE fixed-term contract for 3 years.

     

    Position requirements

    To be successful you should have:

    1. Demonstrated experience in the Financial Services industry
    2. Demonstrated ability to manage consulting contracts and research for the financial services industry
    3. Ability to recognise opportunities for education programs designed for the financial services industry
    4. Ability to implement on-shore and off-shore programs
    5. Ability to work within and support the governance structures of the ICFS Advisory Board, ICFS Management Committee, Business School and University at large
    6. Demonstrated experience in working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
    7. Demonstrated ability to liaise with business organisations and other stakeholders
    8. Demonstrated ability to write media releases
    9. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
