Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

The School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) covers research and teaching across politics, international relations and global development, and while you may have a primary academic identity you will work across the School as a whole, whilst also demonstrating understanding of mixed methods in your teaching. As a teaching and scholarship academic, you will maintain a knowledge of the Global Governance literature. There will also be an opportunity to make time for pedagogic research in the broad area of Politics and International Studies.

You will contribute to the School’s teaching and scholarship strategy, in particular the School’s commitment to integrating work-experience opportunities into the School’s new Global Governance and Diplomacy MA programme. You will be expected to deliver undergraduate and taught postgraduate modules in appropriate subject areas, as well as supervising BA and MA dissertations.

You will have a first degree and a postgraduate qualification in International Relations/ Development (for grade 7) or a doctorate in International Relations/ Development (for grade 8) or a relevant allied discipline.

You will also have experience of contributing to the effective delivery of teaching and be able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills.The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.
