Preclinical Dental Technician

The role

The role of Preclinical Dental Technician within the School of Dentistry is to provide assistance to undergraduate and postgraduate students, under the direction of the course coordinator, with the technical aspects of orthodontic models and fabricating fixed and removable dental prostheses in the School's Preclinical Laboratories. 

The person

The successful candidate should possess a diploma in Dental Technology with subsequent relevant experience or extensive experience and specialist expertise or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. They will have extensive experience in orthodontic appliance construction and prosthetic laboratory work as well as demonstrated ability in maintaining and servicing specialised laboratory equipment.

Remuneration

This is a part-time, fixed term appointment at HEW level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $66,347.80 - $74,098.94 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $72,650.84 - $81,138.33 p.a.).
