Job Details
The post is based at the new state of the art Translational Biomedical Research Centre (TBRC), at the University of Bristol (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/tbrc/).
TBRC is a unique advanced research facility operating under the One Health concept at Home Office, Clinical, and GLPMA standards, with an academic national network of >150 PIs. There are >15 ongoing translational research projects developing and testing new drugs, stem cells and biomedical devices in any clinical areas. More than 10 advanced projects are due to star within the next year. The new facility, conceived as a Research Hospital, has a strong pipeline of awarded grants with senior PIs from top UK and EU Institutions. This provides the post holder with a unique biomedical network with which to interact and collaborate.
In the first year, part of the role will encompass the delivery of radiography services as cover to other university imaging locations such as an adjacent veterinary referral hospital. Over time this proportion will reduce as throughput and image acquisition at the TBRC pre-clinical facility increases.
For an informal conversation please contact Mrs Rachel Foster-Borman. Email: rachel.foster-borman@bristol.ac.uk. Tel: 0117 928 9322.
We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world's leading universities.
