Job Details

The Business Development Representative, North and east + South east France is responsible for developing direct business in France and working with local distributors and/or business partners in assigned territories, promoting these medical devices and services. The position can be performed from home and by travelling. This position is accountable for identifying sales opportunities and growing sales, as directed by Business Development Manager in France in the assigned geography through forecasting, budgeting, establishing objectives, goals, partnering and coordinating with the Sales Operations Team. This person must also compile and report on his/her sales activities, sales funnel, and progress and achievement of goals and objectives to Business Development Manager France.


The position reports to Business Development Manager France.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Identify sales opportunities and develop market strategy for the sales channel with proper product mix
2. Manage sales activities in the assigned territories.
3. Travel at least 3 days per week in the assigned territories to contact potential customers, interact with target audience, apply sales techniques, and creates leads.
4. Will cover an open territory to provide support to existing customers and seek new sales opportunities to ensure continuity of business and achievement of appropriate goals set.
5. Maintain constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems within assigned area; recognizes trends that develop, makes appropriate recommendations as required.
6. Analyze and prepare sales forecasts and reports as needed and requested. Reports should be also prepared to present to the Company management.
7. Local with business partners and/or local distributors and support business transactional activities.
8. Understand, support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements of the Company.
9. Support the Company goals and objectives.

Job duties may be performed in a hospital Operating Room requirinng adherence to the hospitals gowning and sterility protocols, and using mechanical parts and tables. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Some job duties are performed in a home-office environment using standard office equipment such as a computer, printer/scan and telephone. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Thorough knowledge of products and services as well as competitor's products and services.
2. In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.
3. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including persuasive and expositive skills.
4. Ability to effectively make formal and informal product presentations to individuals as well as to large groups, including but not limited to hospital executives, physicians, RNs and other OR staff.
5. Knowledge of the sales process, specifically the "Trust Triangle" selling methodology preferred.
6. Ability to function in an operating room environment and attend surgical procedures as needed.
7. Ability to effectively and independently manage time and territory.
8. Ability to work with Power Point (PPT) program to create and prepare presentations.
9. Computer literate and thorough familiarity with MS Office Suite; i.e.: Excel, Power Point, Word.
10. Able to provide a valid driver's license and qualify for the Company's auto insurance policy.
11. Ability to travel extensively about 50-75% of the time within the assigned geography and cover the travel expenses as well as submit reimbursements in accordance with the Company policy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Business Development Representative France:

Strong Initiative and Follow Through: The individual should demonstrate that he maintains focus and follows through on complex priorities. S/he overcomes difficult obstacles and exceeds goals. S/he accepts responsibility for obtaining goals and objectives and improving results
Strong communication skills: The individual understands the intent of what is being asked and senses if s/he is understood. S/he is accustomed to presenting complex ideas to others and communicates effectively with diverse people by understanding differing viewpoints.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field; three to seven years of regional sales experience with business development capabilities demonstrated during education and/or work experience in OR.
