(salary grade E13 TV-L, 67%, for three years starting at the earliest possible date)

Peptide research has become of significant importance in both academia and industry, and there is a high demand of well-trained and knowledgeable researchers in this field. For this reason, the Research Training Group (RTG) “Bioactive Peptides – Innovative Aspects of Synthesis and Biosynthesis” provides a modern educational program on peptide research for doctoral students. The RTG comprises 11 different research groups with the scientific content of molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, computational chemistry, synthetic techniques and methods and thereby provides a state-of-the-art bioanalytical and structural biological characterization of peptides.

More detailed information on participating groups and single projects can be obtained from: https://www.synpepbio.tu-berlin.de/menue/home/ or from Maria Seidel (maria.seidel@tu-berlin.de).

Candidates are required to have an excellent university degree (Master of Science or Diploma) in biochemistry, chemistry or closely related fields. The willingness to work on an interdisciplinary PhD project and good English language skills are expected. Interested candidates are invited to send in an application (CV, transcript records, motivation letter) to kati.winter@tu-berlin.de. The obligatory notice can be found on the current job vacancies of the individual universities. In your application, please refer to the reference number of the obligatory notice and consider the deadline for applications.
