A brilliant opportunity has arisen within the Family Intervention Team (FIT) in a London Borough which has been rated Good by Ofsted for bright, enthusiastic and tenacious social workers who are committed to making a positive contribution to vulnerable young people.

The service is striving to work innovatively with hard to reach, vulnerable young people who are exposed to Gang affiliation/knife crime Child Sexual Exploitation as well as those young people who are missing frequently. We are driving the contextualised safeguarding approach in our work with young people so that we can understand the complexity of the difficulties that young people are faced with in their communities.

The Local Authority is committed to providing their social workers the opportunity to work creatively with young people who are faced with multitude levels of risks that arise from outside of the context of their family life.

This role would suit a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic social worker who enjoys working 1:1 with young people and their families in understanding their difficulties and who is able to work with our commissioned partners, to implement bespoke intervention to make positive changes in a child's life.

You will be part of a supportive team consisting of experienced social workers, family intervention workers, a family support worker as well as have access to specialist agencies who are committed to supporting young people at risk of child sexual exploitation, gang affiliation as well as those that are experiencing missing episodes. This progressive family intervention model will enable the successful applicant the autonomy to work holistically with families and young people using innovative methods to meet the authorities vision of improving the lives and outcomes for young people and the wider community.
