We are offering 1 post-doctoral position to work in the field of silicon photonics and graphene plasmonics. This is a 2-year fellowship to join a research team from MackGraphe (São Paulo, Brazil), in a collaboration with Universidade de Minho (Braga, Portugal) and the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, Brazil). 

In the project, the post-doctoral fellow is expected to get involved with the fabrication and characterization of silicon-chip-based optical waveguides, as well as graphene nanoribbons to be placed on top of them. Therefore, the selected candidate should be familiar with an optics/photonics laboratory, preferably with previous experience with graphene photonics, silicon photonics, and/or microfabrication. He/she should also have good communications skills, be fluent in English, and be prepared to make frequent trips to Campinas.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
