Work in a Hospital within a Neonatal Unit

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their specialist Pre-Birth team which is based within a London Hospital's Neonatal unit.

Working in a Pre-Birth team will give you the opportunity to diversify your experience and take on a role that works with a very specific group of people. Furthermore you will be working predominantly within a hospital environment whilst still retaining flexibility to work remotely and from home.

The Pre-Birth team is a specialist team that's based within a Neonatal unit and works with new mothers and their families. The role will see Social Workers carry out a range of assessments including Pre-Birth to determine the whether the unborn child is maybe at risk of significant harm.

Social Workers in the team carry a diverse case load some of which are complex. Due to the nature of the role you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team and have access to range of training modules as well as those that are usually reserved for clinical staff, this is to ensure that you have an in depth understanding of situations and are able to complete a more holistic assessment.

As you will be predominantly hospital based there is not much travelling involved within the post, additionally you will be provided a laptop and mobile phone to enable you to work remotely.

To be considered for this post you should have experience of working in a similar team or alternatively have extensive Child Protection experience.
