Help Support the Development of Social Workers
A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Work practitioner to join their LAC service to help lead on specialist cases as well as support and develop junior colleagues.
This is an excellent opportunity to focus on current themes within Social Work that looks to develop practitioners in specific areas such as CSE, Gangs, Missing Children, Mental Health and Domestic Abuse. You will be based in a Looked After Children Team, although as a Senior Practitioner you will work as the service's champion in one of these areas; leading on cases which involve these elements and providing support and development to junior colleagues around these issues.
The team operate in a Pod and you will be involved in weekly group supervision meetings where you will lead on the discussion of cases across the team so that the recommendations are based on a group discussion to provide a more holistic package of care. The Pod will also have other specialists such as a Primary Mental Health Practitioner to provide specialist advice in such areas.
To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience within LAC services, you should also have experience of Court Work.
