Job Details
The Academic Services Division has primary responsibility for the delivery of student focused administrative functions and contributes to student-related policy development. The Academic Services Division (ASD) led by the Academic Registrar, has responsibility for the functions of Academic Policy and Programs; Admissions; Examinations; Student Centres; Student Complaints and Grievance Resolution; Student Fees and Scholarships; Student Progression and Teaching Space Management. The Division provides high quality administrative and professional services in support of the University's academic activities.
The Admissions section is responsible for administering the University's Rules for the admission of students and acting as the first point of contact for prospective student enquiries concerning University programs and admissions requirements.
The role
In consultation with the Associate Director, Academic Services, coordinate the setting, monitoring and review of long and short term goals and strategies to support current and projected needs and developments in Admissions. Present a clear vision of admissions service delivery which is both client-focused and responsive. Provide high level strategic support and policy advice to the Deputy Director, Academic Services and the Academic Registrar, on matters relating to Admissions. Provide leadership and direction to ensure that admission processes are managed economically and efficiently, avoiding duplication of effort and providing service of the highest standard
The person
Applicants should possess postgraduate qualifications or progress toward postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant management experience and/or education/training. Applicants should have extensive relevant administrative and management experience preferably in a university or other large, complex organisation as well as substantial experience in the interpretation and application of university policies and procedures.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $94,667.38 - $106,298.69 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $110,760 - $124,369 p.a.).
