Introduction

The Aga Khan University Hospital invites application for the position of Senior Medical Officer in the section of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

 

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible to:

  • manage preoperative work-up of the patients
  • manage patients in Cardiac Intensive Care Units (CICU) and in ward.
  • manage patients in step down unit and attend ward rounds of CICU and ICU, and carry out consultants' instructions regarding patient care
  • assist consultants in Consulting Clinic, Operating Rooms whenever required
  • manage patient referrals coming from different services
  • perform night on call duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

You should have:

  • MBBS, additional diploma in relevant field
  • one to three years post-MBBS related experience with one year house job
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • an ability to work under highly pressured service
  • strong administrative and organizational skills
  • should have command in utilizing iPhone, iPad etc.
