UQ Advancement engages a large community of alumni and other constituents who are located both in Australia and around the world. Advancement leads UQ's significant fundraising efforts that have positively impacted the areas of empowering student success, transforming teaching and learning, and driving discovery and impact. In 2017 the University launched its first comprehensive and institution-wide philanthropic initiative; ‘Not If, When - The Campaign to Create Change'.

The role

The successful applicant will be responsible for helping to deliver a wide range of marketing and communications materials for the Advancement office. Both digital and traditional media will be used to enhance engagement and build relationships with alumni, potential donors and the broader external community.

The person

Applicants should be experienced and have proven skills in digital and non-digital marketing and communications, and understand how to engage different market segments through platforms such as websites, social media and EDM's. Strong written and design skills are essential, as is the ability to work to deadlines under pressure, perform within a team, and to show initiative.

The University of Queensland values diversity and inclusion and actively encourages applications from those who bring diversity to the University. Please refer to the University's Diversity and Inclusion webpage (https://staff.uq.edu.au/information-and-services/human-resources/diversity) for further information and points of contact if you require additional support.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $75,957 - $81,714 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $83,172 - $89,477 p.a.).
