The postholder take an active role in providing high quality and innovative postgraduate teaching in Digital Health and Care.

This postgraduate teaching will be a central part of the one year taught programme offered to students in Bristol's new Centre for Doctoral (PhD) Training in Digital Health and Care. As a new multidisciplinary Centre, this is a particular opportunity to engage creatively with the diverse student intake and to develop innovative models of delivery such as lectures, design work, case studies and laboratory exercises.

The postholder will be a key figure for this bustling and expanding Centre, working with the CDT's highly experienced leadership team.  They will have an excellent teaching record and ability to motivate and support student development. Previous experience of the design and delivery of high-quality, innovative undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including the supervision of student projects, is desirable. A particular challenge for the postholder will be working with the leadership team to develop taught material to introduce the healthcare domain to students who might be from a technology background.

This is an exciting opportunity within a vibrant and newly-established Centre, working out of a suite of attractively-refurbished offices alongside staff and students at Cathedral Square, adjacent to and overlooking Bristol Cathedral. Team working will be an important and daily part of the experience however the postholder will also be expected to work independently as needed.

The post is funded for up to 3 years in the first instance however the Centre is funded for five intakes of students from September 2019 and hence there is opportunity for extension.
