Job Details

This is a great opportunity to join the Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC), working as a Clinical Studies Officer/Research Nurse on the multi-centre clinical trial ATLANTIS (Amitriptyline at Low-dose and Titrated for Irritable Bowel Syndrome as Second-line Treatment). ATLANTIS is a randomised, multi-centre, parallel-group, two-arm, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, with the overall aim being to determine the clinical and cost-effectiveness of amitriptyline as a second-line treatment for IBS in primary care. In this role, you will be the primary contact point for the people taking part in ATLANTIS in the West of England. As well as recruitment of participants, you will be responsible for communicating and supporting them through the trial and the follow-up period.  The role will also involve data collection, taking blood and close working with other members of the research team, GP surgeries/secondary sites and the research networks as appropriate.
