Job summary

The Division of Pharmaceutical Biology, Pharmacenter of the University of Basel, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral scientist with a strong background in bioanalysis and UHPLC-MS/MS and a keen interest in biopharmaceutical aspects of early ADMET.

Your position

  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary projects at the interface of natural products chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and biopharmaceutics. You will focus on the DMPK and bioanalytical aspects of various ongoing collaborative projects
  • Coordination of activities in the biopharmaceutical/bioanalytical lab of the research group, and responsibility for the UHPLC-MS systems of the team (2 UHPLC-MS/MS, 1 HPLC-HRMS system) and cell culture
  • You will be involved in the supervision of MSc thesis projects. Also, you will counsel PhD students in biopharmaceutical/bioanalytical aspects of their projects

 

Your profile

  • PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology
  • Expertise in UHPLC-MS/MS, experience with in vitro methods of drug metabolism, and with analysis of drugs and drug metabolites in various biological samples
  • Knowledge of current international bioanalytical method validation guidances for industry
  • Strong scientific track record documented by publications in leading journals
  • Genuine interest in multi-disciplinary research
  • Good command of English; command of German is a plus
