Hydrogeologist (Contaminant)

Role: Contaminated Land Consultant
Location: Dublin (North)
Salary: 35,000 - 55,000 Euros + Annual Bonuses (10-20%)
Experience level: 5-10 years experience
Academic requirements: MSc Hydrogeology or similar (MSc Contaminated Land, Environmental Science) / BSc Geology

Client:

My client is a international highly specialised consultancy who are now looking to hire a Contaminated Land Consultant for their growing team in North Dublin. They work on a wide range of complex contaminated land projects (Legacy, Industrial, Pharma, Chemical, Nuclear, MOD, Government)

You will have the benefit of enjoying a diverse workload on challenging projects, which will enhance your skill set and broaden your knowledge in the field. Your role will predominantly be office based with an approximately 60/40 split between office and site supervision work.

Your responsibilities are likely to include:
* Task and Project Management: including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, meeting project schedules, quality requirements and client expectations;
* Site Work: Completion of fieldwork tasks including site inspections, multi-media environmental sampling and characterisation, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and management of remediation system operations and maintenance;
* Management of remediation treatability and pilot tests with subsequent data evaluation, report writing and work plan development;
* Team Management/Mentoring: Management, training and mentoring of junior staff;
* Technical Reporting: Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
* Client Engagement: Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; and
* Supporting to the senior team in client care and development activities.
