Senior Supplier Quality Engineer -Swiss MedTech - strong growth forecast for QA

Today I am looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for our client, a Medical Devices company located just outside of Zurich. The position will be 9 months in the short term with the intention to become permanent thereafter. Ideal start date is immediate but it is an important role and longer notice periods will be considered.

Essential criteria for this role are

• Lead Auditor certificate to ISO 13485 (ISO 9001 will be considered)
• 4+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in the medical device industry or related field with supplier quality management expertise.
• Working knowledge of Quality System Regulation (QSR 21 CFR 820), Canadian Medical Device Regulation (CMDR), EU Medical Device Directive (EU MDD 93/42 EEC), and ISO 13485
• English essential, German beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier qualification/selection and implementation of a Certified Supplier Program to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services, resolving supplier-related problems using the corrective/preventative action process. Institute appropriate root cause corrective actions relating to customer complaints and production defects
• Develop and prioritize an audit schedule, and participate in the audit/assessment of suppliers, ensuring compliance with medical device regulatory guidelines (GMP, FDA, ISO13485, AIMD R-PAL)
• Provide technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement and implement strategies for driving product quality and continuous improvement
• Prepare and negotiate Quality Agreements Supplier
• Develop strong partnering relationships with Supply Chain, R&D, Design Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing Engineering groups
