The project offers excellent research and training programme:
  • Opportunity to join a network of leading Universities, research institutes, and companies in the field of wireless communications and machine learning
  • The ESR is primarily hosted by Worldsensing with stays in partner institutions (secondments).
  • Training programme including regular summer and winter schools to build technical skills and as well as soft skills.
  • The salary is very competitive and complemented by mobility or family allowance (the latest only if eligible, see criteria of eligibility in the project website).

Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree and Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Strong background in wireless communications and/or machine learning with ideally extensive hands-on experience is an advantage.

If considered for the position, you will be requested to prove that you comply with those requirements.

Objectives and Expected Results

Objectives:
  1. Identify the operational requirements for wireless networks in industrial environments. Study and identify critical network parameters to be analyzed through Machine Learning techniques;
  2. Assess the performance of the state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms using large datasets from real deployments;
  3. Develop a proof of concept leveraging the provided data sets and infrastructure.

Expected Results:
  1. Software implementation of deep learning algorithms and integration with our demonstrator platform;
  2. ESR will receive training in Machine Learning as well as wireless industrial networks;
  3. ESR will be exposed to the practical challenges related to the target industrial vertical.

Selection Process
