School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences
The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB) combines the disciplines of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Parasitology into a single academic unit. The School has modern research laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and research infrastructure. The School includes over 50 academic staff, who are widely published internationally and have extensive research backgrounds.
The role
The successful appointee will be responsible for assisting in a range of duties related to research in influenza pathogenesis and immunity including, performing research, administration and other activities contributing to the goals of the lab.
The person
Applicants must possess BSc (Hons) (or equivalent) with subsequent experience in the area of immunology, virology, molecular biology and/or microbiology or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You should have demonstrated knowledge in influenza research pathogenesis and immunity. The ability to perform egg based experiments is essential.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 24 months at HEW 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $77,400 - $83,267 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $90,558 - $97,422 p.a.).
The University of Queensland also offers other competitive options including salary sacrificing, on campus childcare, leave packaging and discounted private health insurance as well as many other benefits.
