Job description
A scholarship is available under the scope of a Young Researcher FAPESP research project (2015/25351-6). This project aims to evaluate the potential of MCT1 lactate transporter as a therapeutic target and mediator of response to 3-bromopyruvate for the treatment of melanomas. In the master's project, the student will evaluate the effect of treatment with 3-bromopyruvate as an antineoplastic agent for the treatment of vemurafenib-resistant melanomas. Several in vitro techniques will be developed for evaluation of cell metabolism, viability, proliferation, apoptosis, migration, invasion and colony formation in vemurafenib-resistant melanoma cells.
Candidates are sought with training in the areas of Biological, Biomedical and related sciences, and academic history. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Scientific Initiation and have prior experience in the human cell culture.
