School of Psychology
The School of Psychology is one of the most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia, and its strong reputation is built on excellence in both research and teaching. The School has thriving and dynamic research profiles in almost all areas of psychology, and is able to attract visitors from overseas and other institutions in Australia. It possesses good links, often through cross-appointed staff, with other schools in the University, thus creating opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborative research.

The role
The successful applicants will work with Lives Lived Well Professor of Alcohol, Drugs and Mental Health, Professor Leanne Hides to conduct independent research within one or more fields of activity relevant to primary substance use and comorbid mental health issues. The appointees will supervise or co-supervise research staff and students, and apply for both independent and collaborative funding relevant to the research focus.

The person
Applicants should have submitted or completed a PhD in psychology or a related area, and have the ability to develop, organise, complete and publish research outcomes in high quality outlets with demonstrated awareness of current international research trends. Experience in managing research projects is desirable.
Remuneration
These positions are full-time, fixed term appointments for two years at Academic Level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $95,771 to $113,728 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of to $112,052 to $133,061 p.a.).
The University of Queensland also offers other competitive options including salary sacrificing, on campus childcare, leave packaging and discounted private health insurance as well as many other benefits.
