Bristol University Press, a specialist social sciences publisher and home of the award-winning Policy Press, is looking to appoint a Publishing Assistant to work within the dynamic and expanded Commissioning Team.

The Publishing Assistant provides general administrative support to the Commissioning Team, including meeting organisation and paperwork collation, data entry, scanning and filing and well as monitoring the team's general email account. They also provide support to the Editorial Assistants and Assistant Editor in the administration of the peer review system for books, assist with drafting internal project documents, process expenses and organise external meetings and trips. They also assist the Head of Commissioning with recording and collating information for reporting purposes.

The successful candidate should have proven administrative experience in a relevant role. We are looking for someone with very good attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload.

The Publishing Assistant is a key role in supporting the team to maintain high quality standards for our products and our excellent author service.The closing date for applications is midnight on 31 March 2019 and it is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 15 April 2019.
