The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational units: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health, and Non-communicable diseases & mental health.

The Project to understand and research preterm pregnancy outcome & stillbirth: South Asia (PURPOSe) is a prospective, observational study aimed to better understand causes of stillbirths and neonatal deaths among preterm live births in Pakistan & India. This is a study of pregnant women to evaluate the causes of stillbirth and neonatal death (
This is a grant funded, short-term contractual position.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• receiving and maintaining line listing of data received from field sites and editing of forms
• training of field staff for correct and precise data entry
• editing of Minimally Invasive Tissue Sampling (MITS) and placenta reports
• managing data and following up with Data Management System (DMS) team for data entered
• resolving data edits sent by Research Triangle Institute (RTI) team
• following up for; and submitting test reports
• monitoring of data quality through spot and back checks and providing feedback to the field staff
• receiving and distributing study IDs.

Requirements

You should have:

• a BScN degree with valid PNC license
• two to three years' of relevant experience preferably in data quality assurance procedures
• good written and verbal communication skills
• ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality
• proficiency in use of computer software.
