Job summary

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in applied health research or clinical trials? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Research Fellow to work on an exciting and novel health services research study funded by Versus Arthritis in the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Medicine. The project is evaluating electronic-rehabilitation (e-rehab) programmes for chronic knee pain and will involve the development and refinement of two e-rehab programmes, one consisting of group Internet-delivered physiotherapist home exercise and Internet-interactive educational sessions, known as 'Group E-Rehab'; and the other consisting of a web-based home exercise programme with motivational text support system known as 'MyKneeExercise.'

A feasibility study will also be undertaken to evaluate how feasible and acceptable these two e-rehab programmes are. This work will inform the development of a future clinical trial. You will have a first degree and PhD in a subject area relating to health services research/applied health research/musculoskeletal research or have equivalent research experience. You will also have relevant research experience in an academic or relevant health care setting.
