Job Purpose
  • To conduct and manage research activities relating to accreditation of advanced clinical practice which will involve a multi-methods analysis
  • To undertake a proof of concept analysis to enable chartered physiotherapists to seek accreditation and meet the requirements of the new 'Musculoskeletal core capabilities framework for first point of contact practitioners' and the 'Multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England' framework


Person Specification

The Centre of Precision Rehabilitation for Spinal Pain (CPR Spine) within the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Birmingham is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow. The appointed candidate will be expected to have ambition to participate in one of the UK's strongest research Schools, maintaining our strengths as a leading research-led teaching department, publishing work of the highest academic quality and impact.

The appointee will have a background consistent with a research focus on musculoskeletal physiotherapy advanced clinical practice. The applicant will be a chartered physiotherapist who possess as a higher degree and has experience of qualitative research methods.

The applicant will have the ability to work to deadlines and previous experience in working with teams of people from academic and non-academic backgrounds.
