A Local Authority based in London is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join thier front door services. This post will see you support Social Workers with complex cases

Highlights:

  • Local Authority has achieved a Good Ofsted
  • You will be a senior member of a small team and you will be supporting Social Workers with complex cases
  • Duty every 6 weeks, which enables Social Workers to clear off their caseload and attend training before being allocated a new batch
  • Training & Development in the form of modules which can contribute to an MSc - will also have access to courses provided by external providers
  • Will be provided the equipment to enable remote working and will be able to work from home.
  • The Local Authority uses Relationship based practice & Signs of Safety
  • This post is within a Local Authority which is very well resourced, which means Social Workers are supported by other statutory services
  • Current themes in the Local Authority include Parental Mental Health, CSE, Missing Children and Domestic Violence - as a Senior Practitioner you will have the opportunity to specialise in one of these areas.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for those candidates who are looking to specialise in specific areas of Social Work as you will have the exposure to cases such as CSE, Missing Children and Parental Mental Health. You will also have access to training modules around these issues giving you the knowledge required to be a subject matter expert. Furthermore you will be able to take this further and lead on cases such as these for the Local Authority.

The Referral and Assessment service is a high performing theme which has consistently received a Good Ofsted. Caseloads are well managed throughout the team and furthermore Duty is held every 6 weeks which gives Social Workers enough time to clear of their cases and attend training before being allocated a new batch. The team is also supported by other statutory service within the Local Authority - and this is a region which is very well resourced giving team members access to further support.

To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience within a Referral and Assessment team
