Lead on CSE & Domestic Violence Cases

A Local Authority based in the East of England is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Family Support teams as a CSE or Domestic Violence Lead.

Highlights:

  • Work on CSE and Domestic Violence cases
  • The authority use Restorative Practice which you will receive training on
  • Will receive equipment to work flexibly and remotely
  • Small authority which covers a small geographical location
  • Small cluster teams of 4-5 Social Workers
  • Free parking

The authority has recently implemented the Restorative Practice model which candidates will receive training on if they are successful. As well as training relating to this model Social Workers are able to benefit from a personal education budget which they are able to use in order to attend courses provided by external institutions, supporting their own personal development.

This is an excellent opportunity for Social Workers who are keen to develop their experience in specific areas of Social Work practice, specifically CSE and Domestic Violence, both of which are common in the region. Again the authority will be providing training to help support staff to work on these sorts of cases. Working as a part of the Family Support team you will have the opportunity to lead on these cases and will be the subject matter expert, promoting communication between different agencies to ensure information is shared within timescales and easily accessible.

Working in the authority you will be based in small cluster teams where you will have a manager to 4-5 Social Workers effectively ensuring you have enough time for supervision. Furthermore the authority operate an open door policy where senior managers are always available so you are able to share your views and thoughts.

There is a greater degree of autonomy with this assignment as Social Workers are able to work remotely and are provided the equipment to do so.

To be considered for this post you should have experience of working within a front-line Social Work team. You should have also completed your ASYE.
