Do you have either significant industrial experience in a relevant field of civil/structural engineering design and/or construction or a PhD in an associated topic plus subsequent related industrial/research experience?

As a Lecturer in Civil/Structural Engineering Design and Construction you will be responsible for delivering modules related to Design and Construction both at the University of Leeds and for the joint programme at Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China for short periods of time.
The School of Civil Engineering is globally renowned for its teaching, research and engagement with industry and government. It is one of the largest and longest established Civil Engineering schools in the UK with over 650 students from over 70 countries. With a vision and drive to make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of scholarship and student education in the School in the field of design and construction, you will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and masters levels, along with experience of teaching design, development and delivery of teaching materials in a Higher Education setting, with the ability to teach effectively at all levels.
Talented, enthusiastic and motivated, you will hold chartered membership of a relevant professional institution such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng, MICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (CEng, MIStructE), or equivalent similar professional qualification. You will also have significant industrial experience in any relevant field of civil or structural design, and/or construction, that will complement current areas of expertise within the School, or a PhD in a relevant area of civil or structural engineering design and/or construction, with subsequent industrial/research experience in any related field that will complement current areas of engineering design/construction expertise within the School.
