The department
UQ Human Resources is responsible for enabling achievement of the University's strategic ambitions through attracting and developing high performing staff, and delivers high quality advice and support to our clients on all aspects of HR and people matters.
HR is currently undergoing significant transformation (including new systems, specialist services, process review and redesign, and improved data and analytics capability) to become one of the leading HR functions in Australia, and is building a team of exceptional HR professionals to provide customer focused and contemporary solutions and services for our clients.
HR is seeking an exceptional individual within our Employee Services team to provide outstanding client service and efficient and effective payroll and administrative duties for a dedicated client portfolio.
The role
The position is responsible for providing accurate and efficient payroll administration and the entry of employment-related data into the University's HRIS to support the delivery of high quality day to day operational HR activities. This includes staff recruitment, induction, probation and appointment-related information, ensuring relevant approvals and required information is processed in a timely manner on a fortnightly basis. Other duties include providing excellent client service in relation to general HR/payroll enquiries, and managing the effective filing of employment documentation via the university's electronic filing systems. The position will be located on the University's St. Lucia Campus.
The person
To be successful in this role you should possess an Associate Diploma or equivalent qualification plus previous experience in a payroll administration position. Your attention to detail, time management skills, and exceptional client service skills, together with your ability to meet fortnightly deadlines will be highly required. While your previous experience in using Aurion HRIS would be highly regarded it is not essential.
Remuneration
We have one full-time, continuing, position available, and multiple fixed-term positions ranging from 2-6 months in duration at HEW level 4. Remuneration will be in the range $61,179 - $65,055 per annum, with additional superannuation contributions of between 9.5% (fixed-term positions) and 17% (continuing position).
