I have a great opportunity for an ambitious geotechnical engineer to join an award wining Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Site Investigation Company in Glasgow. Having recently opened an office in Glasgow due to continuous growth and constantly providing high standard quality site investigations across the UK, they are now looking for a project manager to join their expanding team and provide expertise in upcoming projects.

Based in the new Glasgow office, the successful project manager will be preparing and managing multiple GI projects from initial contract award through to the financial closure, throughout which will be tending to technical report writing and invoicing. You will be responsible for the effective management of all technical, commercial and HSEQ (health, safety, environment and quality) components of each project and staff assigned to you and within your scope of responsibility. The role will also include supporting the preparation of tenders and business development activity as and when requested by the Regional Manager.

The ideal Project Manager will have:
* At least 7 years site investigation or civil engineering experience
* A BSc degree level qualified in geology/civil engineering or a related environmental subject essential (MSc preferable)
* Chartered Status (preferable)
* PTS Certification (desirable)
* SMSTS Qualification (desirable)
* CSCS Management Qualification (desirable)
* In depth knowledge of site investigation practices and civil engineering contracts
* Ability to log soil and rock samples to BS 5930:2015 code of practice
* Excellent written and oral skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Full UK driving licence
