Geo-Environmental Engineer

A medium sized multidisciplinary consultancy with massive growth plans is now looking for a geo-environmental engineer to join their young and driven team in Manchester. Not only is the office a converted old mill building in a beautiful location, they even have a free bar meaning that everyone can have a beer at their desk from 3pm on-wards on Fridays!

The role allows for autonomy and ownership of projects which is different to larger companies where you only get to play 1 part in a project. With this company, you will be managing a wide variety of projects from start to finish and get a lot more responsibilities as this company prides itself on trusting their employees.

Some of the responsibilities in this role will include gathering of site investigation field data, involving some periods away from base office, contributing to technical reports (Phase I and II) providing geo-environmental design input, primarily to built environment projects and providing assistance with project management and the preparation of site investigation scopes, proposals and tenders relevant to the business.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A first degree in Earth or Environmental Sciences, or other relevant subject,
• Work experience in a similar geo-environmental consultancy, contaminated land and/or geotechnical focus, with experience in managing site investigation,
• The capacity of producing written reports to highest standard, presenting technical information clearly and concisely,
• The right to work in the UK without restriction.
