Division Chief, Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Pulmonary Medicine

Posting Description:  Chief of the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Pulmonary Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.  The Division provides prompt, comprehensive and compassionate state-of-the-art clinical care to patients with a wide variety of problems that include sleep, lung transplant evaluation and follow-up, asthma, allergies, cystic fibrosis, and rare lung diseases and support, advice, and partnership with their families. The Division is also actively involved in teaching pediatric pulmonary medicine and allergy to medical students at Washington University, residents and postgraduate fellows on our medical campus, and physicians and other healthcare providers at Washington University, in the greater St. Louis community, and at the national level.  Broad clinical and bench research programs are ongoing. 

Basic Qualifications: Physician-scientist with strong leadership experience in managing a large, complex in-patient and ambulatory clinical service a must, as well as a strong research program that focuses on mechanistic and translational investigation of childhood diseases.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine, Adult Pulmonary Medicine, or Pediatric Allergy with management duties in educational training and research programs required. Will be responsible for expanding and enhancing efficiency of the various Divisional clinical Divisional programs, while playing a transformative role in advancing educational and investigative initiatives that attract highly qualified trainees and improve child health.
