Organisational Environment
The University of Queensland's Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) delivers leading economic evidence, analyses and insights to help policy- and decision-makers create sustainable healthcare systems that promote better patient outcomes and value for all Australians.
Through collaborative and customised research, CBEH aims to inform and improve how governments and care providers respond to and plan for the changing and complex healthcare needs of a diverse population.
The Centre is also building human capital and capability in the healthcare sector through postgraduate research opportunities and executive education programs for current and future leaders, focusing on change management, evaluation, resource allocation and innovation.
CBEH was established in 2015 and is a joint initiative of UQ's Faculty of Business, Economics and Law , Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences , and Mater Research Institute-UQ .

The Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the research program of the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) with a particular focus on business disciplines as applied to the health of populations and the planning, management, production, delivery and evaluation of health care.
The Person
Applicants should possess a minimum of a PhD qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline, and post-doctoral research experience in business and health together with a record of peer reviewed publications in front line international journals. An established record of competitive research funding and evidence of working in multidisciplinary research teams is desired.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 3 years at Academic (Research Focused) Level C. The remuneration package will be in the range $117,319 - $135,276 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $137,263 - 158,272 p.a.).
The University of Queensland also offers other competitive options including salary sacrificing, on campus childcare, leave packaging and discounted private health insurance as well as many other benefits.
