Job Details

The Ocular Pharmacology and Physiology Group of the Department of Biomedicine (DBM) is seeking a highly motivated PostDoc.

We are looking for a highly motivated PostDoc-level researcher interested in working on novel gene therapeutic approaches and in vivo proof-of-concepts in animal disease models.

The DBM is an associated collaboration partner of IOB, a research institute combining basic and clinical research. Its mission is to drive innovations in understanding vision and its diseases and develop new therapies for vision loss.

Your position
  • Overseeing mouse colony
  • Testing gene therapeutics in animal models


Your profile
  • PhD in Biology or equivalent degree
  • Experienced in mouse work focused on ophthalmic applications
  • Enthusiasm to establish and optimize new protocols and techniques
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of intravitreal injection and in vivo imaging are beneficial
