Opportunity to join an ARC Special Research Initiative project
The Soil Science group in the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine is seeking a postdoctoral scientist to join an ARC Special Research Initiative project examining the remediation of soils contaminated by poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). As a member of this project, you will work closely with industry to improve our understanding of the behaviour of PFAS and precursor compounds in contaminated soils and assist effective remediation of these compounds. Some interstate travel will be required.

- PhD degree in chemistry, environmental chemistry or chemical engineering
- Demonstrable commitment to high-quality research outcomes
- Demonstrable expertise with research into remediation of contaminated soils or waters
- Highly developed writing skills as evidenced by publication of research in scholarly journals with good organisational and time management skills
