Job Details
The Accounting Department is seeking qualified applicants for multiple positions, beginning September 2018. Candidates may be at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate(s) must hold an earned PhD in Accounting from an internationally recognized university and be able to demonstrate evidence of, or potential for, high-quality teaching and scholarship. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from on-line universities. Appointments at advanced rank require a current appointment at that rank with a research and publication record meeting GUST standards.
GUST is an English language, American-style University. Salaries are AACSB competitive. Kuwait has no taxes. The university provides a housing allowance, public and private health insurance, education benefits for children, annual home leave and an end of service gratuity in lieu of retirement.
Kuwait is a safe and comfortable living environment. It is the oldest democracy in the Middle East. There are good global airline connections and a vibrant expatriate community. Many private schools for children provide quality education in various international models (American, British, etc.).
Interested applicants are requested to fill in basic contact information and upload a complete CV with the names and contact information for at least three references and submit the application online. The review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
