The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and productive postdoctoral researcher to undertake an exciting new role working in a multidisciplanary research team. The research fellow will play a key role in the research activities of the Minerals Processing Program. The researcher will undertake projects addressing industry problems, and develop new knowledge to solve the problems. The Fellow will work within a research team consisting of research high degree students, research assistants, industry senior experts and project leaders, and will be primarily responsible for delivering research projects which require working with industry to define the problems, undertaking laboratory based research and demonstrating the benefit of newly developed technologies.

 

The person

Applicants should be within five (5) years of completing a PhD degree in Mineral Processing or a relevant field. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in the minerals industry, good practical research skills, a strong methodological background and analytic skills, good writing abilities, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term one (1) year appointment at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range of $64,533 - $87,535 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $102,416.10 p.a.).
