Research Fellow in Battery Management

You will join one of the UK’s most dynamic centres for engineering and environmental research and education rated number one for research power in REF2014.  The University is a leading members of the Faraday Institution (https://faraday.ac.uk/), the UK’s independent institute for electrochemical energy storage science and technology. We have an excellent record of collaborative research with industry and academic institutions in the UK and abroad. The Faculty hosts the EPRSRC Centre for Doctoral Training on Energy Storage and its Applications which is run jointly with the University of Sheffield (http://www.energystorage-cdt.ac.uk/). You will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team from Engineering and Chemistry.

Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Engineering or Physics. The successful candidate will be able to evidence their capability in control engineering and power electronics as well as experience in building electronics hardware circuits using FPGAs. The use of software packages such as Matlab/Simulink would be desirable.

Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded, the title of Senior Research Assistant will be assigned.
