We are seeking a motivated engineer to join BioProcess Technical Operations, as part of a team charged with introducing technologies to enhance process development capabilities. The individual for the position will initially work in the upstream area, pursuing laboratory initiatives for bioreactor design and development of an integrated instrumentation system for automation of process feed strategies.

Qualifications

Education:

•BS degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or a MS degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Required:

•Strong skills in laboratory experimentation and documentation, with demonstrated ability to write clear comprehensive technical reports.
• Solid engineering/scientific understanding and hands-on experience in cell culture and bench scale bioreactor operation.
•Competency in employing Design of Experiments (DOE) approach and statistical data analysis, including and use of SAS JMP or similar statistical analysis software.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional team environment.
