Minimum Requirements:

Professor:

• D. in Applied or Mathematical Statistics
• At least ten (10) years lecturing experience
• Publications in rated journals
• Evidence of current research
• Publications in international journals
• Evidence of postgraduate supervision

Associate Professor:

• PhD in Applied or Mathematical Statistics
• At least seven (7) years lecturing experience
• Publications in rated journals
• Evidence of current research
• Publications in internal journals
• Evidence of postgraduate supervision

Senior Lecturer:

• PhD in Applied or Mathematical Statistics
• At least five (5) years lecturing experience
• Publications in rated journals consistent with the University’s S.P.P
• Evidence of current research

Lecturer:

• A Master’s Degree in Applied or Mathematical Statistics
• At least three (3) years lecturing experience
• Evidence of research participation

Addition Recommendations:

• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of Statistical Packages such as SPSS, SAS, STATISTICA or R
• A dynamic teaching and learning approach including knowledge of e-learning methods and blended learning is recommended

Summary of Duties:

• Lecturing Statistics and other related subjects up to B.Tech level
• Conduct workshops and short courses for Researchers
• Statistical consulting
• Departmental administration
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the HOD
