Applications are invited for postdoctoral research opportunities in Mathematics, tenable from 1 October 2017 (or a date to be agreed). This is funded by an ERC Advanced Grant “Integrable Random Structures”, which aims to develop and study integrable models in probability; it covers a wide range of topics including random matrices, enumerative combinatorics, integrable systems and random polymers.

You should have or expect to hold shortly a PhD in Mathematics or equivalent, with a suitable background in probability, combinatorics, random matrices, mathematical physics and/or related areas.

The School of Mathematics is one of the leading centres for research and teaching in mathematical sciences in the UK, and offers a stimulating and friendly environment with first-rate facilities.
