This is a new and exciting opportunity to lead the Strategic Planning Unit at the University of Wolverhampton. This role provides the opportunity to take the lead in the engagement, and planning around understanding performance data and aligning this with the new University Strategic Plan and the Performance Review process.

You will be a senior member of the University Secretary’s team and will play a significant role in the virtual Business Intelligence team. You will be responsible for supporting the engagement and influence of the team throughout the University in improving planning and performance and be responsible for ensuring that key information generated from internal and external sources supports the University in meeting its operational and business requirements.

This role will require an individual with a passion for analysing and delivering high quality performance and in engaging colleagues across all disciplines and at all levels to understand, engage and deliver against the University’s strategic and operational objectives. The post requires an individual that can work closely with key stakeholders across the University and who can identify opportunities for improvement in theirs and their team’s oversight of management information, metrics and statutory returns.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have previous experience of leading cross functional teams to support key decision making based on performance metrics. You will have an understanding of the importance of international, national and local policy, quality assurance and metrics affecting the higher education sector and the implications for a planning function.
