Minimum Requirements:
Lecturer:
- A Master’s degree in Somatology or equivalent
- At least three(3 years’ experience in a higher education setting
- Curriculum development experience
- Involvement in research supervision
Additional Recommendations:
- Networking and leadership skills
- A motivated self-starter, responsible and accountable individual and a team player
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in research writing and publication
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet and Email use
Summary of Duties:
- Competent preparation and delivery of learning material related to somatology discipline at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Ability to facilitate learning effectively – through traditional and online mediums
- Undertake assessment and administration duties related to teaching, learning and research
- Undertake research publications and become involved in community engagement projects
- Undertake any additional duties assigned by HOD
- Working collegially with team members towards attaining the goals of the department, Faculty and University
Salary: R258924 to R466512, plus benefits
