The Faculty Operating Service in the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences are seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer to provide secondment cover for 9 months with a possibility of extension past this period.
This post will primarily provide administrative support in the Academic and Research Environment for Biological Sciences at the Highfield campus, and may occasionally be based at Southampton General Hospital and other University sites within the Faculty.
Reporting to the Senior Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for the conduct of administration and maintenance of support service standards. You will liaise with the Deanery and senior managers in the Faculty, relevant University Professional Services, and external stakeholders in order to deliver a high quality and efficient service, which meets the requirements of the Faculty.
You will be expected to have previous work experience within an administrative role. The ability to work in a team and good communication skills and attention to detail are essential. A background in science would be an advantage. More information can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification.
